Cautious warning, EU and Russia are glancing at each other with War in mind, EU keeps messaging to Finland to be prepared for a random attack.
Would recommend alterating or staying at 5 or 4 and not higher than that.
Main point of altercation seems to be the independence of Crimea which neither side wants to belong to Ukraine or Russia but to be its own free city, EU slightly supports Ukrainian crimea and russia supports Crimea under their control. The human rights violations of both sides are brought to the table but there seems to be no balanced middle ground. Im hoping if Ignore the situation and do weed and try to avoid both sides the storm will pass but chances of that seem to be lowering consistently. Russia bombed a village of "our" children, we hit the russian driver, we said the oppressed youth in ukraine should be given freedom and insured they get their own state, russia invaded it. Not good

For the first time in a long time, i feel tense about russia.
As a general advice to US, if the situation seems to escalate to a point where war seems probable I may cautiously recommend boosting total NATO and US allies number of nuclear weapons to greater for certain than the power of the nuclear weapons of the eastern bloc. In fact, it seems a bit better if the US builds more nuclear weapons than russia in such a case as trying to tie Russia nad China together in such a blanket hostility at this point is a bad idea. I hear steady rumblings from China that they would prefer not to be tied too strongly to russia due to historic ties. I know my humble opinion on this isnt worth much as i am not the level of strategic planning of the US central planners. BUT, I feel that a first significant step towards hostility should not be the dismantling of the European no nuclear treaty but rather building more nuclear weapons into the active reserve than Russia. However, like I said, i am not "an expert" of the best caliber on this.

Russian citizens have stated that as long as we make no plans to take over the government of Russia but rather seek to remove the current system and leave russians "to themselves" to organize afterwards majority of the "working population" would cautiously accept it if the reason is as I've reasoned to be and they would prefer there to be no large scale persecutions of russians or similars at the same time. in other words, if it is a minor decapitation strike they would not be "overtly" offended. Though they do support their government. The feels is that they are on the fence in a military fashion on how to react to the annexation of the pro russian minor nations which the population feels may have been better off being left under the control of their respective parliaments. Overall the policy of "annoying" the minors on the border of russia is something they would prefer to be ended. They would defend but we should not expect a "major" defence if it is targetted at the government and the rest is left undamaged. This would change as the situation escalates.
