Okay so you can change 2 things at a time for your feudal underlings, the first 2 i change is taxes to high and levy to low. Then i'll change to give them hereditiary rights to the titles as well as the right to go to war with their neighbours.
Now war rules in religion are such that dynastic murder is illegal. So you can not capture and execute and you can not use assasins, nothing stops you from hiring an army of non dynastic men to fight another dynastic noble who has an army of non dynastic men. This should make ruler V ruler inside domain fights, fights of mercenaries and not bother the local levy. I will only take the cream of the crop from the levy since supply issues in the frozen north are such that i Already need to split my army to 3 stacks, one for each large city, I would, for safety reasons, prefer to be able to keep a unified army so i might even offer some rulers the right to go to no levy for very high taxes, but it depends on how they would feel about it.
Every courtier child as well as nobility child gets a professional education and learns 2-3 foreign languages across their childhood. Ruler now knows 11-13 languages and is starting to run into issues with learning language from other rulers because it takes such a long time for letters to arrive that instead of learning from foreign nobles its starting to look like learning from one of their courtiers assigned to our court.
This situation also works wonderfully to assign personal wage for the leader. What does it cost to run a royal court at different amneties levels and what does this accomplish. As soon as i increased the food amnity to full i had several personal events that changed my food budget in personal life to truly astonishing levels.
So Masters, the simulator, works well for running a state, but to run a court that gives you the things you need to run a country, is for crusader kings.
I should also see how much it costs in terms of average wage to hire staffers for a president and adjust the wages accordingly, this is not a problem IF the funding for political parties is unlimited but i would prefer to keep it limited in that large corporations cant slap a Mac Donardo flag on my guys jacket.
So limited means that i need to budget things like "maid + manservant" for presidential household, that requires certain adjustements to the funding, but not many as current wage of 12.000 gross comes to with taxes 6000 net and minimum wage is 1200. So hiring one for a good salary of for example 2500 would get a full maid and house servant things required to actually RUN a nation, as well as still guarantee larger wages for the PM than say, a office assistant.
Towards that end im thinking of putting the PM salary to perhaps 20k a month, with high income tax bracket 49-51% we're talking 10k a month, with medium at 1.5% and getting paid say 3000 a month for good quality work we're, with a SINGLE servant, down to 7000e net a month, for a prime minister. That seems.... low....
Its 5 years of saving everything if you want to buy a fancy car?
Im also assuming no perks and benefits or corruption due to, well, nazi police.
So we're looking at 15-20k with 49-51% income tax.
That is not much to run a royal court off of. But I can manage.
